Deliverable: A clear guide to deciding
The format is individual and concise: two 2-hour working sessions with the consultant. Either in-person or online.
The first session is used to collect experiences and provide immediate verbal feedback.
The second session is a deep dive based on the PSST document received between the two sessions.
The 7 points of the PSST report
1. Personal Success Strategy
This refers to the specific combination of actions, decisions, attitudes, resources, and their underlying motivations that a person mobilizes in a recurring pattern to achieve a goal or overcome a challenge. This strategy is analyzed in project mode.
Belief:
Identifying and accepting our recurring functioning patterns increases autonomy.
2. Comparison with one or more failure experiences
Failures are analyzed in the same way as successes. The “failure strategy” includes the recurring ingredients found in each example. Comparing it to the success strategy highlights the elements to focus on and act upon in future experiences.
Belief:
A failure is a potential success that chose the wrong starting point or took the wrong turn at a given moment.
3. For managers: leader/follower posture elements
Over the course of their experiences, when does the person lead, and when do they follow? Is this appropriate in context?
Underlying belief:
Move beyond the cliché that "you must be a leader in all situations." Knowing how to follow is an essential quality in collective work.
4. Strengths and weaknesses of the strategy – engaged talent
In what types of contexts is this strategy particularly effective?
Is it robust or vulnerable to external pressure?
Does it promote personal growth, or does it carry risks of burnout?
What talent — preferably a natural one — is expressed in the unfolding of experiences? How does it show up?
Beliefs:
A strategy is human, therefore imperfect — but it works for the person.
A survival strategy must be well-managed, or it may lead to exhaustion.
5. Questions to steer the strategy
A dashboard for managing decisions, commitments, and promoting the conditions for daily success.
Belief:
Conscious mastery of one’s conditions for excellence and performance enables success to be predicted.
6. Provisional conclusion
The key word is provisional. The document is dynamic and can be amended over time based on future experiences and observed evolutions.
7. Questions – discussion – remarkable points
The fertile questions raised by the discovered functioning patterns.
Belief:
New horizons open up when we recognize our core needs.
